Joe Gatto, a well-loved comedian, best known from his participation in the hit TV show “The Impractical Jokers”, is facing allegations of sexual assault.

A TikToker that goes by the name Joozyb was the first to come forward. She claims she first met him after going to brunch with her mom and sister where she spotted him and asked for a picture. After getting the picture she states he liked her Instagram story and so she decided to message him asking for tickets to his comedy show that night. He gave her a meet and greet pass and she went to the show.

After the show, Joozyb went home to her roommate where she proceeded to drink a large amount of alcohol. Her roommate then convinces the girl to message Gatto and they talk. After some innocent conversation Gatto allegedly turned on Vanish mode and gives Joozyb instructions to find his hotel room. She Ubers there and is led to the elevator and proceeds to walk down to his room. She claims this is where the assault took place. She has pictures of the bruise he allegedly left with his teeth. 

After making these public statements, the internet is split. Some fans of Gatto claim that he would never do something like this and demand more evidence. Others believe Joozyb saying that the power dynamic and the fact that she was intoxicated makes the assault probable. 

Gatto himself has come out denying the accusations stating he used poor judgment and let his loved ones down. He states “anyone who knows me at all knows full well that I wouldn’t assault anyone.”

When interviewed, Finn Gleeson states he usually believe the victim first because if I believe the person who did it and it comes out that the allegations were true, I feel I’d just enable them to keep doing weird stuff.”

Other students like Damien Murphy say “until I know whether he did it or not I will see him as innocent until proven guilty.”

No matter what the results of the situation turn out to be, these allegations have definitely put a stain on Joe Gatto’s reputation.
