When you think of a soda, which brand comes to mind? Coca Cola, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and other popular sodas in America make up the overwhelming majority of the market. Though they may be huge companies and very popular, that does not mean they are the best. I’m going to put you, reader, onto something: Milkis, the best soda in America.

If you’ve never heard of Milkis, do not be surprised. The soda originates from South Korea, and has been spreading rapidly throughout the rest of the world. In America, the product is primarily found in international sections of grocery stores, as well as Asian markets.

The soda itself is kind of similar to cream soda. It contains a form of milk (as the name would suggest), which makes it creamier. Milkis comes in flavors like banana, melon, peach, strawberry, and other unique flavors.

Lower Dauphin students are intrigued by the Korean soda. “I’ve heard of it, but I’ve never seen it or had it before.” Says Senior Jasmine Prieto. “It looks good, but I’m a picky eater so I probably wouldn’t try it.” says Sophomore Natalie Buffington.

Milkis is one of many foreign food and drink brands becoming popular in the US, and for good reason. The soda brings something new to the table in a seemingly stale American soda market, and not only does it taste great, but it’s actually healthier, too!
