Josh Allen undeservingly won the 2024 MVP award over Lamar Jackson.
Jackson had better numbers than Allen. In 2024, Jackson had a 66.7 percent completion rate, 4,172 yards,41 touchdowns and four interceptions. Allen had a 63.6 percent completion rate, 3,731 yards 28 touchdowns and six interceptions. His numbers are significantly better. Jackson’s numbers are significantly better. He was also voted first team all pro. The same people who vote for the all-pro team also vote for the MVP.
LD freshman Jake Persing says,” Josh Allen deserved MVP.” So why did Allen deserve MVP? Some argue that the Ravens had a good defense and Derick Henry, who is a star running back. While Jackson and the Ravens did have those things, Allen and the Bills had a better wide receiver core. Allen had Amari Cooper, Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel, and Dalton Knox. The Ravens had Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, and Nelson Agalor. The Bills easily have the better pass catchers.
This snub of an award will go down in history. All you have to do is look at the numbers and you will see that Jackson is the better quarterback.
