In a day and age where social media is completely saturated with “Get Ready With Me’s”, TikTok Dances, beach Instagram photos with random amalgamation of emojis as captions and standard selfies, some creativity and ingenuity is much needed. Here are some ideas to create some variety in your social media posts:
- Make an awesome edit of yourself
Everyone has seen the “totally cool” edits of famous basketball players like Lebron James and Lamelo Ball. Why not make one of yourself! Lower your basketball hoop at home and get to filming!
2. Take awesome baddie Insta pics at your local Taco Bell
While this may seem like a strange location, something special about it is that nobody would ever think to replicate it out of fear of not looking as cool as you do! Be unique and shine bright!
3. Stop and make a TikTok at dismissal in the senior lot
Now you may get some honks and dirty looks for holding up traffic, but just keep on dancing! People will admire your resilience and determination.
4. Create your own horror movie and post it!
Even though you may not have the right supplies, try and make it as spooky as possible. I’d recommend toilet paper to pose as a mummy, and ketchup to pose as a bloody guy (not trademarked). Get creative!
5. Drop a freestyle rap on a sick beat
Most people are super basic and write songs, but that doesn’t have to be you! Get “hip” and drop a “flow” on a dope track; the more obscure the better. You can rap about dumpling, tax evasion, anything you want!
“I think they’re really great, I feel like the more people who do it the better, and I personally would do all of these things, like a compilation with my sick rap in the background”, says senior Lucia Shertzer when asked her thoughts on these ideas.
“I completely agree,” says senior Lily Chort. “I’ve definitely never heard of these ideas and will be sure to give them a try.”
In conclusion, posting on social media doesn’t always have to be the standard, run of the mill posts; you can really take creative liberties when thinking of new ideas to try. Be sure to try one (or several) of these ideas out in your next post!
