Ms. Justice McCleave, a new paraprofessional, has worked for several different school districts over the years and is excited to be at LD this school year. “The school was big, and everyone was welcoming. The students were very sweet, and I liked that everyone was very much interactive. Like one big family.” She previously taught first, second, and third grade.
McCleave is a very approachable person, and would like students to know that she is open to hear anyone who needs someone to talk to or needs help. She is looking forward to making a positive impact at LD, she has started by setting some goals. “My main goal is to try my best, to make a difference, and to be there for my students…” These are major goals for McCleave because of her past experiences with teachers overlooking her. She hopes to create a strong support system for students at LD. “…To make sure everyone is heard and understood, and know that it’s okay not to be okay.” McCleave wants students to know that she has their back.
Outside of her job, McCleave has many hobbies. She loves art, especially drawing. She enjoys bowling, music, and crocheting as well. She describes herself as outgoing, fun, and caring. She likes the color yellow because “you can’t look at yellow and be mad” and pink because “what girl doesn’t love pink.”
Lower Dauphin’s new paraprofessional McCleave is a great addition to the staff. Her optimistic goals and energetic personality brighten up LD a little more.
