Ready to refresh your resolutions? Skip the pressure of the old resolutions and dive into these fun, easy and musical goals for 2025.
- Level up your Playlist
Branching out of your comfort zone can be uncomfortable, but musically, it doesn’t have to be. Listening to a new band in your preferred genre is a great starting point.
Milo Zubey, grade 10, said, “Different bands offer different perspectives. Listening to only what’s popular or only what isn’t doesn’t give you all sides of the spectrum.”
- Rock Out, Live!
Popular musicians come to Hersheypark Stadium and other local venues all year long. While only part of the summer line up has been announced (Luke Bryan, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Shania Twain, Post Malone, and Avril Lavigne with their respective opening acts), you can keep updated on the Hershey Entertainment website.
- Upgrade Your Band Swag
Buying and wearing merchandise of your favorite artists is a great way to promote them and upgrade your wardrobe this summer. This can also help you express yourself and start conversations. Some examples of band merch could be a t-shirt, bracelets, or other things unique to the band (some sell band themed sports jerseys).
- Support Lower Dauphin Musicians
Throughout the school year, the Lower Dauphin Music programs hold many fundraisers for different events. For example, this Saturday, Feb 1 from 4:30 to 7 in the High School Cafeteria, the musical is holding a spaghetti dinner.
Penny Altland, grade 10, said, “By coming to the spaghetti dinner, you’re supporting not just a musical but a community.” See fliers around school for more information.
The best part about musical resolutions? They all add some more joy to your life, one song, concert, shirt, or spaghetti dinner at a time. Ready to make 2025 your most musical year yet?
