Why are Converse as popular as they are? One reason could be the comfort. While they are primarily made out of very simple materials (rubber and canvas), the simplicity is the secret to their comfort. Another reason is that Converse, while they follow a similar formula, are very versatile. They can be sleek or chunky, with bright colors or dull colors, and they can go well with virtually any outfit.

These popular people and brands bring constant attention to Converse by providing their own spins on the classic Converse design formula.

Lower Dauphin students like Converse. “I love wearing Converse because they are fun and they go with every outfit!” says senior Daphne Linn. “I love getting platforms, different colors, and matching them!” Senior Reini Patel also agrees, saying: “Converse are so different and unique.”

Converse’s popularity doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Sales have been up each year since 2018 (excluding 2020), and people can’t seem to get enough of them.
