The Falcon Flash took home first place with special merit honors at the ASPA National Competition.
Editor-in-Chief Ethan Kurtz won three awards at the Pennsylvania Press Club. Kurtz, along with Autumn Parker and Alex Wagner, received honorable mention honors for their story, “Passbooks Must Be a Thing of the Past,” in Category 2—Opinion. Kurtz also received honorable mentions for his story, “Lower Dauphin Ice Hockey Poised for Another Bears Cup,” in Category 5—Sports Story and his video, “Flash Recruitment Video,” in Category 19—Video Feature Story.
