You can’t escape Taylor Swift.
Whether you are listening to the radio, watching TV or scrolling social media, the influential pop star is everywhere.
Even if it is not Taylor Swift herself, it is likely that it is one of her fans, dubbed “Swifties.” It should come as no surprise, then, that Swift’s influence has immense weight on people’s decisions, such as voting for president. While she has not officially pledged support for a specific candidate, Swift has pushed young people to vote. This has seemingly triggered presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has pledged to wage a “holy war” against the musical superstar.
Let’s be clear: Taylor Swift has not endorsed any candidate for the 2024 election yet. She simply encouraged people to vote, specifically younger people, who are famously sedentary during voting season. This has not stopped multiple Republican figures from griping about the musician’s encouragement, which they claim “helps Biden.” Some claim that the possible appearance of Swift at the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, shows that the NFL has inexplicably “rigged” the season to boost Biden’s campaign.
“I am a fan of Taylor Swift, but regardless I don’t think anyone should wage a holy war on anybody,” Says junior Daphne Linn. “I don’t understand why a political figure is trying to attack some random musician.”
The beef between Trump and Swift shows no signs of stopping, as Swift posted a video on Instagram urging people to vote, prompting an uproar on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Time will tell whether Swift actually has an effect on the election.

I’m pretty sure that the beef is one sided, I’m not a Swifte, and couldn’t name a song she sang, but she seems like a decent person to me unlike the one who has made up the conflict. Nobody that has any swnae of decency or morals could vote for trump

Exactly.
