It took 19 days to arrive. The package was fairly large, and in the shape of a square. When I opened it up, I was greeted with an earth-tone colored box. Upon opening, a slightly smaller box emerged, wrapped in tissue paper. When that box was opened, there was more tissue paper, and two metallic bags containing… More tissue paper. But inside of that tissue paper was the Fear of God Athletics I Basketball Sneaker.

The Athletics I Basketball Sneaker is very sleek. The colorway I bought is the “carbon/ sesame” colorway, which is all black (except for the toe area, which is a beige-like color). Due to the sneaker’s sleek shape, the toe box area is a bit snug, so I’d recommend going a half-size up if you want to get these.

In terms of comfort, this sneaker is extremely comfortable, with Adidas Lightstrike foam inside of the sole. While the shoe fits a big stiff when you first put it on, once you break it in, it is barely noticeable. To tighten, the Athletics I Basketball Sneaker has conventional laces, a lace lock, and a drawstring to tighten the sock-like opening of the shoe.

While the sneaker is expensive ($265 new, including taxes), I would say it is worth it. The sneakers are extremely high quality, and the presentation is really well done.
