The NFL only has a few weeks left, and the number one seed in both the AFC and NFC are still up for grabs.
The number one seed in the NFL is important to a team because of the advantages it gives in the playoffs. The number one seed gives the teams a first round bye which automatically sends them past the wildcard round. This is not the only benefit given, additionally the team also is guaranteed to play the team with the worst record at each stage.
With these benefits in mind, many teams have their eyes locked on the position. In the AFC the teams that are most likely to get the number one seed are the Ravens, Dolphins, and Chiefs. The Ravens are the favorite because they currently have the best record with 11-3. They do not have that big of a lead on the Dolphins even with this great record, the Dolphins are only one win behind the Ravens with their record sitting at 10-4. I think that the Ravens will win the AFC.
In the NFC the race is still wide open with multiple teams having similar records. The most notable teams that are still in the run, are the 49ers, Cowboys, Eagles, and Lions. The 49ers are in the lead with an 11-3 record with the Cowboys, Eagles, and Lions all sitting at 10-4. I think that the 49ers will win the NFC.
When sophomore Syler Campbell was asked who he thought would win the NFC, he replied with, “Niners”.
Sophomore Kaiden Ketty shared his opinions on the AFC and said, “The Steelers will win the AFC”.
