Fans are highly upset after the release of Kanye West, or “Ye”’s newest album was postponed. The album, named “Vultures” is in collaboration with rapper Ty Dolla Sign, and was announced on Friday Dec. 15.
West has been teasing new music for several months, and has a past history with announcing albums and never releasing them. He has done this in the past with albums like “God’s Country”, “Donda: With Child”, and his newest announcement of “Vultures.” West also has a history of pushing albums back, with many of his albums being released as much as a month after their announced release date.
Junior Jaime Gallick describes that “while I dislike Kanye because he is racist and antisemitic, I am a bit disappointed that he postponed the album that he has been hyping up for months now”.
Gallick is not the only fan who is disappointed by the news. Fellow junior Tavian Boone describes that it is “truly a shame the album has to be postponed, as the music which we have heard sounds incredible”. Boone expresses how despite the delay, “Kanye is undoubtedly a musical genius who will go down among, if not the singular, greatest musical artist of all time”, “virtually unparalleled in the music industry, and has created some of the best and most praised pieces of music known to man”.
Overall, fans are unsure when the actual release of the album will be, but until then wait for its arrival. No matter when released, it will no doubt be extremely popular, being possibly one of the most anticipated albums in the past year.
