Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been one of the most successful concert tours in music history, becoming the first tour of all time to gross over a billion dollars.
Swift generously donated a portion of the profit to the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund, helping to support families affected by the tornadoes that swept through multiple Tennessee counties last Saturday. Sumner County, which contains Swift’s former high school, was one of many counties hurt by the storms.
In response to the news of the hardship many people in Tennessee were experiencing as a result of the tornadoes, Swift decided to quietly donate one million dollars to the charity. Throughout the entirety of her tour this year, Swift has been helping many people she comes in contact with. In every city the Eras Tour has stopped in, Swift has made sizable donations to the community food banks. Additionally, Swift spent over 55 million dollars for bonuses for the crew, dancers, and anyone else involved in the production of her tour.
Swift’s philanthropic habits have inspired people around the world to help those in need, most recently with the events in Tennessee. If you would like to donate to the cause, you can go to the Tennessee emergency response fund.
