Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film has been available in theaters since October 13th, 2023, and has already grossed about $250 million worldwide. The movie is still showing in theaters around the world, but as of December 13th, 2023, the film will be available to stream at home.
The film showcases Swift’s internationally-renowned spectacle, the unparalleled Eras Tour. Unlike the version of the film shown in theaters, the streamed film is to include the previously cut songs from the tour: “Wildest Dreams”, “The Archer”, and “Long Live”. The only song still not included in the compilation is “cardigan”.
The film will be available to rent on Apple TV, Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, xfinity, Google Play, and YouTube for the United States and Canada.
The unmatched success seen in Swift’s film simply reinforces her position as one of the most influential artists of all time. With each album, despite her growing older, she is only gaining in popularity. She was named the Spotify’s 2023 Global Artist of the Year, continuing to amass streams in anticipation of the release of her film on streaming platforms available to millions of excited fans, including many Lower Dauphin students.
“Seeing the tour come alive in my house is a dream come true,” says junior Marshall Womer. Junior Lauryn Parcon agrees with this sentiment, advising everyone to “steam the Eras Tour, it changed my life. I’m going to stream it the second it’s available.” Junior Virginia Huntzinger joined the excited reactions, commenting that she plans to “watch it over and over and make it my whole life.”
