Every year, in part of Hersheypark’s Christmas CandyLane, Hershey has a drive-through Christmas light show. But its the same lights every year, are people getting bored of them?
The lights start in November and are from 5 to either 9 or 10. The drive-through attraction includes a 2 mile drive through a field of lights and through a road surrounded by the woods. There is also a custom-made radio station of Christmas music to go along with the lights. A car that seats up to 8 people has a limited time price of $24.95 and a van that seats 9-15 people is $50.15.
Brynlee Holland, Freshman, was asked what her opinion is on the sweet lights. “They’re cool but something different would be nice.” Holland said. She said that the prices are pretty high.
Blake Shaffer, also a freshman, thinks that the halloween events are much better than the sweet lights and that he wishes that they were more interactive. “I do like the blue and red glasses that they give you sometimes though.”
Freshman Giavonna Santore thinks that the lights were exciting at first but they just eventually got boring.
So in conclusion, Hershey’s Sweet Lights are pretty cool, but the prices are high and they can be boring after doing the same thing every year.
