Homecoming is coming up at Lower Dauphin High School on Oct.14 from 6-10 pm. What are people doing before six? Getting ready and getting food? Or taking pictures with all of their friends?
Homecoming is only a few days away and some people already have things planned. Some are going out to eat locally in Hummelstown, and others are finding nice places to take pictures.
Local places to eat near the High School include The 1762 at The Warwick Hotel, where they have a bar and grill style restaurant and a variety of different foods. On the day of homecoming, they are open from 4-10pm.
Another place to eat is Jojo’s pizza. If you’re looking for something not too fancy, Jojo’s is the place to go. Jojo’s has pizza and other Italian dishes. Jojo’s opens at 10:30 am and closes at 12 am, so this would be a good choice if you wanted to eat after the dance.
Sophia Perini, a freshman, was asked what she is going to do before homecoming. “I’m getting ready with friends and eating before we go.” Perini said.
Another freshman, Kenna Hoke, was asked the same question. “Well, I’m going to Chick-Fil-A with my friend Addi.” Hoke said. “I gotta get my nails done a few hours before homecoming so I don’t break them.” She said, “Mine are going to be the best ones there.”
So, in conclusion, students are going out to eat with their friends and getting ready in the few hours before the dance takes place.
