Usher is set to headline the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show, sponsored by Apple Music.
“Those 13 minutes mean everything,” Usher says, adding that performing at the Super Bowl has been on his bucket list for a long time. The game will take place in Las Vegas on February 11th, 2024. “It was like this was destined to happen.”
On the day of the Super Bowl, Usher plans to release a new album, Coming Home. The album will be his ninth studio album. Usher refers to the album as “a love letter once again to the legacy of my career”.
Usher spoke about his success, remarking that “if you stay motivated and you stay focused on the work and not the stress when there are stressful moments,” this is helpful to having a fruitful career. “I guess it’s staying creative. Something about this journey has been about never arriving.”
Following recent Super Bowl show successes like Rihanna, The Weeknd, Shakira, and more will undoubtedly be difficult due to the high bar that has been set, but Usher is excited and confident for his upcoming performance.
