As Penn State is looking to expand on their 3-0 start, Happy Valley will have eyes from all over the nation tuning in for Penn State’s iconic whiteout game.
On Saturday Sept. 23, Beaver Stadium will hold Penn State’s 19th annual whiteout game, which is easily known to be one of the greatest traditions ever in college football.
The Penn State Nittany Lions will be facing the Iowa Hawkeyes for this top 25 matchup. This game will also have a primetime kickoff on CBS at 7:30pm.
Nittany Lions sophomore quarterback Drew Allar has thrown 59/88 for 737 with four touchdowns and no interceptions so far in the 2023 season. Allar is easily one of the top quarterbacks in college football. People are so excited to see where Allar takes this Penn State program as his young career continues.
Penn State’s sophomore running backs Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton have been nothing but unstoppable for this Penn State offense. Allen has had 42 carries for 208 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his second season as a Nittany Lion. Singleton is writing a story for himself with an unreal five touchdowns with 36 carries for 154 yards.
Junior wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith has tallied a pair of touchdowns with 13 catches for 220 yards. Lambert-Smith scared some Penn State fans last week after going down twice, but he maintained no major injuries and will be playing in his 3rd whiteout game this weekend.
On the defensive side of the ball, Penn State has been nothing but absolutely top tier. Linebacker Curtis Jacobs has become eye opening,as he has nine solo tackles and a sack.
For the Hawkeyes, senior quarterback Cade McNamara has thrown 38/71 for 417 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions so far.
Junior running back Leshon Wiliams has run for 164 yards with 19 carries, while junior wide receiver Luke Lachey has ten catches for 131 yards.
Iowa linebacker Jay Higgins has 18 solo tackles and a forced fumble.
