After Adidas dropped hip-hop artist and “presidential candidate” Kanye West, it seemed like the Yeezy shoe designs were gone. We now know that that is not true. In January 2023, the Adidas 350 “Granite” will be released. The now Adidas branded shoe will sell for a price of $230, which has drawn some criticism.

The Adidas 350, formerly known as the Yeezy 350, is pretty much the same as its predecessor, minus the Yeezy branding of course. With a primeknit upper and a boost sole, it is extremely comfortable to wear. Perhaps even more comfortable than the Yeezy branded 350s, now that they will not be associated with Kanye. The first Adidas branded 350 will be released in the “Granite” colorway, and retail for a price of $230. Now, is the shoe worth the $230 without the celebrity branding? That’s what some critics are questioning.

So, are they worth $230? They are, of course, extremely comfortable, but that does not really warrant $230. The entire thing that made Yeezys expensive was the hype that came from celebrity branding. However, if you’re like me, and you really like how crazy the shoes look and how comfortable they are, they might just be worth that $230 retail price.
