It’s been a while since we had a major Air Jordan 11 release. Almost a year ago, in fact. This changes with the release of the Air Jordan 11 (AJ11) “Cherry”.

Sporting color-blocking similar to the AJ11 “Varsity Red” Lows from 2001, the AJ11 “Cherry” upper consists of a white ballistic mesh with the iconic AJ11 tonal webbing eyelets, and a varsity red shiny leather mudguard that adds a bit of vibrance to this otherwise all white shoe. An embroidered Jumpman sits on the heel.

The sole consists of phylon (a variation of ethylene vinyl acetate foam) and a carbon fiber spring plate, making this shoe comfortable for everyday wear and a solid performer on the court. While it is clear that this sneaker is awesome looking and will be well received, its release has not been smooth sailing. In early September, the AJ11s, along with the AJ4s and 6s, were stolen from Nike’s Memphis facility. It was then debated whether the drop would be pushed back, or if they would release at all.

Luckily, it looks like they are scheduled to be released on December 10th at a retail price of $225. So, set alarms for 10:00 A.M. to be awake for the drop and possibly get a pair of these, as they will be released in extremely limited numbers.
