Supreme Court Denies Trump Mar-A-Lago Request

Jaime G.

It looks like Trump is out of options to try and avoid the Mar-A-Lago trial after the Supreme Court rejects his request to intervene in said trial. The trial began when the FBI raided former president Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago home, and recovered 103 classified documents, 31 confidential documents, 54 secret documents and 18 top secret documents.

It’s bad for us because, well, we don’t exactly know what he did with those documents when he had them. For all we know, there could have been more documents originally, and now they could be gone. They could have been sold to foreign countries, they could have been destroyed. Heck, they could have been used as decorations, as an empty classified folder (similar to the other 48 empty folders seized from Trump’s home) was found as a wall decoration in the 45 Wine & Whiskey Bar in Trump Tower.

Trump asked the Supreme Court, filled with 3 judges appointed by him, to intervene in the Mar-A-Lago trial (and most likely declare it unconstitutional). However, they have denied him this request. Trump expects the Supreme Court to swoop to his aid, however, they have chosen not to, and so we will get to see if Trump is indicted for hoarding these documents. This case has many similarities to the Rosenberg Case of the 1950s, where two soviet spies were discovered with classified and top secret documents. Who knows, maybe Trump and the Mar-A-Lago Case will become the next Rosenberg Case.
