Ansu Fati, a Spanish forward for FC Barcelona, played in his first match in over 300 days on Sunday (TheAthletic.com).

Fati came on as a substitute in the 81st minute for forward Luuk De Jong, and in the first minute of stoppage time, just ten minutes after coming onto the pitch, Fati struck home a beautiful finish just outside the 18-meter box (ESPN.com) to extend Barcelona’s lead to 3-0.

After scoring Fati ran into the stands to share the moment of celebration with the doctor that helped him recover from his torn meniscus against Real Betis in November of 2020 (TheAthletic.com)

Despite being on the pitch for just 15 minutes, Fati flashed the amazing potential he has that made him earn the storied number 10 at Barcelona. Fati was quick with possession, showed great dribbling skills, and flashed his beautiful shot with his goal late in the match.

While Barcelona have not been themselves this season, thanks in part due to the recent departures of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, and Antoine Griezmann.

Currently they sit in sixth of the La Liga standings, having won three matches and drawing in three more (ESPN.com)

With Fati back, and the recent emergence of Luuk De Jong, as well as superstar Memphis Depay, Barcelona fans have lots to be positive about, including a future that could be very bright.
