February 17, 2021
Professional Lacrosse Player Zach Currier was taken with the number three overall pick in the 2017-18 National Lacrosse League (NLL) collegiate draft. In 2020, the Waterdogs Lacrosse Club selected Currier with the number one overall pick in the 2020 Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) expansion draft. In addition, Currier holds countless other accolades at Princeton University and during his time spent in Major League Lacrosse (MLL).
Outside of lacrosse, the Canadian native spends time playing other sports while still training for lacrosse.
Currier spends some of his free time playing and watching golf. In addition, Currier will play and watch hockey, a sport that he played for 14 years up until leaving for Princeton.
While at Princeton, Currier studied engineering, and says that if he could not be a professional lacrosse player, he would most likely be working in the engineering field.
Some of Currier’s favorite foods include sushi, pasta, and potatoes. Currier loves Poutine, a Canadian dish that is made with french fries, gravy, and cheese curds.
Currier also has a younger sister, Grace, an older brother, Josh, who also plays professional lacrosse, and a step-brother, Andre.
Currier is also now the proud owner of three dogs with his fiancé.
With the Princeton lacrosse team, Currier was able to visit Portugal in 2017 and loved it. During the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championships, Currier got to spend time in Netanya, Israel while playing for Team Canada. Currier says that both places were beautiful.
Currier also helps run recruiting services, a club team, and training through his company, Top Draft Lacrosse. Currier states that he enjoys working with Top Draft to help people achieve their goals.
“I find it pretty rewarding to see them connect the dots.”
